“11 Minutes” (Paramount+) - featuring DDC cinematography - nominated for an Emmy Award!
Amongst the films recognized as the best in feature documentaries this year is a landmark docuseries that gives a gripping account of the largest mass shooting in US history. Through intimate interviews with survivors, law enforcement, and victims’ families, the film is ultimately about the heroism that emerged during the incident, and the community of support that was built in its aftermath.
During spring 2022, DDC contributed key production services to the project, arranging multi-person camera crews for all of the main filming locations.
Production was led by director Jeff Zimbalist, who previously worked with the DDC team on the Emmy-winning HBO documentary ‘Momentum Generation’. The camera department included long-standing collaborators Adam Booher and Federico Pardo, and myself who filmed the majority of the interviews across Washington, California, Nevada, Tennessee, and the nation's capital, D.C.
This nomination is a terrific validation for DDC as a production services provider and as a team. We continue to work at the highest levels of broadcast documentary production. We hope ‘11 Minutes’ continues to be recognized for the important documentary that it is.
We look forward to working with you on our next award-winning film!
