DDC is a multimedia production company that specializes in international documentary production. We combine the skills of a full-time, production house with a global team of filmmakers from every region on the planet, to offer a wide range of production and post-production services.

We have worked with major broadcast networks and award-winning production companies on both feature and independent documentaries, as well as brand films; working closely with directors, producers, and production managers. We have supplied film crews, gear, and production support - as well as assisted with post-production services - to create premium documentary productions.

From location scouting and permit clearance, to staffing and gear rentals, we take care of every detail to ensure a smooth and successful shoot. 2023

Undivided

A DDC original production, this concept lays the groundwork for a docuseries currently in development. Our team was involved in every stage of the project: research, scripting, directing, shooting, logistics, and currently overseeing the post-production. The shoot featured a 4-day excursion across New York City - from Harlem to Washington Square to the Financial District - resulting in a tight and efficient production experience.

How to Come Alive with Norman Mailer

For this Showtime-produced feature documentary about the thought-provoking author Norman Mailer, DDC supplied camera, sound, and production assistance, as well as the camera/grip truck. Our team filmed during two weeks of production across the American Northeast from March to April 2022. Featuring interviews with filmmaker John Waters, writer Gay Talese, and numerous members of the Mailer family. Our latest collaboration with Emmy Award-winning director Jeff Zimbalist.

L’ile Rouge

DDC Madagascar's managing producer, Mamihasina Raminosoa, worked closely with Cannes Award-winning director Robin Campillo on his latest film, shot on location in Madagascar in 2022. The French scripted feature film tells the story of a young boy's journey during the end of the French colonial era in the country. Raminosoa worked as an executive producer for the Madagascar portion of the film, directing all of the performances by Malagasy actors and overseeing production services in Madagascar, including permitting, locations, and casting.

11 Minutes

Through emotional first-hand accounts and never-before-seen archival footage, this documentary immerses viewers inside the largest mass shooting in our country's history. For the production, DDC provided camera and sound crew for principal filming locations including Las Vegas, San Diego, Seattle, Nashville, and Washington DC during winter and spring 2022.

2021

The Line

A companion to the award-winning podcast, this docuseries examines the moral ambiguities of war as embodied by the 2018 case in which a US Navy SEAL platoon accused its chief, Eddie Gallagher, of war crimes. For the project, DDC provided camera, sound, and lighting crew across all principal filming locations, including Florida, Virginia, New York, Texas, and North Carolina in 2020.

Canaries is a miniseries which aims to build broad support for independent journalism in the digital age, which starts by showcasing the work of bold media startups around the world. DDC oversaw production on location in Japan, Belarus, and Colombia.
