Dear friends of DDC!
As we reach the holidays, we are excited to reflect on our team’s numerous achievements in 2024.
This year, alongside our core team in the US, Colombia, Madagascar, and Spain, DDC has expanded our European presence with members in Italy and Germany.
The combined strength of this multinational staff - along with our global network of collaborators - allows us to manifest a truly integrated, multi-talented cohort working together across continents to tell impactful stories for our clients.
Some of our 2024 highlights include:
- Filming on the ground in over a dozen countries - as well as a dozen US states.
- Managing commercial video and photo production on three new advertisements for Slack, a Salesforce company, on location in Utah, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
- Producing advocacy pieces for UNICEF, Kew Royal Gardens and MiracleFeet in Madagascar, Comoros, the Philippines and Liberia.
- Hiring local production resources across the globe - from Singapore to Tbilisi to Panama City to Kigali.
- Organizing monthly online gatherings for our global network of filmmakers to showcase their work and discuss experiences in the industry.
- Supporting independent documentaries that premiered at Sundance and on Netflix.
- Collaborating with universities including UChicago, University of Maryland, and St Mary’s College.
Our team is proud that together we have proven the full range of our capacities in all areas of media production - and we are not done yet!
We already have plans for a number of exciting storytelling opportunities lined up at the start of the new year.
